Located in Appomattox VA to the west of Richmond and strategically positioned outside the power-constrained Northern Virginia corridor, AVAIO’s Project Hercules is a 436-acre property, construction-ready with site plan approved, delivering initial power in Q3 2027 with a clear path to gigawatt scale:
- 50 MW via Dominion energized [October] 2027, with load study complete and construction DPR submitted
- A direct connection to the Williams Transco gas pipeline (access on site, obviating any third-party easement or rights-of-way issues) can deliver sufficient gas for behind-the-meter baseload thermal generation of up to 700 MW, starting in 2028
- An additional 250 MW of grid power available 2030
- The campus will also include 30 MW of on-site, behind-the-meter solar PV generation
- The hyperscale-ready Hercules campus delivers exceptionally low-cost power via Dominion Energy. With fully approved zoning, dense long-haul fiber connectivity, secured water service, and one of the most attractive tax environments in Virginia, Project Hercules provides a highly scalable, cost-advantaged platform for AI, HPC, and cloud deployments.
