“AVAIO Digital’s $6 billion investment is the third largest in our state’s history and a great vote of confidence in our people, our communities and our ability to get companies up and running faster. This project will not only transform Rankin County and the Metro Jackson region, it will transform our economic landscape and lead to even more high-tech leaders choosing Mississippi.”
Governor, Tate Reeves

AVAIO has broken ground on Project Taurus, a 329-acre campus in Brandon MS (Greater Jackson), and is on track to deliver first occupancy in August 2027. Taurus has a clear path to over 1GW of total baseload power:
- Executed ESA with Entergy Mississippi for an initial 116 MW of grid power energized in June 2027 at some of the most competitive rates in the US
- Access to the Gulf South Pipeline (initial routing study complete) can deliver gas to the campus starting Q2 2027, with capacity available to ramp to an additional 500 MW of on-site, behind the meter thermal generation
- Entergy guiding an additional 420 MW of grid power available to the site by end 2030
- The industrial park campus is zoned for data centers and is highly supported by the City of Brandon, Rankin County and the Mississippi Development Authority, [with MS state sales & use tax incentives agreed and in place for campus tenants]. Taurus is close to several other large hyperscale projects and well situated for fiber connectivity including four diverse non-single-point-of-failure campus entry points. Water infrastructure is in place at the site, with recycled water an available option, and a new sewer line extension is under construction to supply the project’s long-term wastewater needs. Turnkey, build-to-suit, and powered shell options are available.
